Logan Scorpions 26
Tries:
Phil Shilvock 2, Terry O'Regan, Grant Dutton, Brian Hamilton, Royce Simms
Goals: Scott Maguire
d
efeated Toowoomba Clydesdales 12
Tries:
Chris Walker, Ashley Harrison
Goals:
Jace Van Dijk 2
Venue:
Meakin Park
Date:
Sat July 3
Chris' Comments: Toowoomba were very disappointing in this clash.  Their attack was pedestrian and Jace Van Dijk looked out of his depth at five-eighth.  Logan were outstanding, and they aren't without a chance at the finals if Easts, Wests and Toowoomba continue to stumble.

Central Capras 42
Tries:
Heath Egglestone 2, Todd Lynch 2, Brad Neven, Byron Hutton, Kere Parata, Corey Maher
Goals: Graham White 4, Selwyn Toby
d
efeated Souths Magpies 0
Venue:
Davies Park
Date:
Sat July 3
Chris' Comments: Souths have been shut out two weeks in a row now, and they are simply easy pickings for their opponents.  With a for and against of -549, they are simply shot.  They did have one win on the weekend though, their relay team beating Wests and Redcliffe in a BRL relay at ANZ Stadium.

Wests Panthers 26
Tries:
George Gatis 2, James Brown, Jason Bulgarelli, Aaron Morgan, Craig Bowen
Goals: Josh Hannay
d
efeated Burleigh Bears 16
Tries:
Aaron Douglas, Frank Napoli, Brock Anderson
Goals:
Ben Lythe 2
Venue:
Purtell Park
Date:
Sat July 3
Matt's Comments: Your side beat the leaders Chris and no comments...:)

Cairns Cyclones 16
Tries:
Scott Mahon, Nick Paterson
Goals: Greg Bourke 4
d
efeated Redcliffe Dolphins 6
Tries:
Shane Sanderson
Goals:
Michael Roberts
Venue:
Dairy Farmers Stadium
Date:
Sat July 3
Chris' Comments: Redcliffe look to be following what happened last year, where they led from the start and collapsed around finals time.  They had a golden opportunity to take top spot but failed against a spirited Cairns side.

Norths Devils 26
Tries:
John Wilshere 2, Steve Bell 2, Tristan Brady-Smith
Goals: John Wilshere 3
d
efeated Easts Tigers 12
Tries:
Brett McPherson, Brendon Liston
Goals:
Scott Thorburn 2
Venue:
Langlands Park
Date:
Sun July 4
Chris' Comments: Norths edged within a point of Redcliffe with this solid victory over Easts.  The Tigers had a chance to maintain a top 5 spot, but were overpowered by the defending premiers.

Wynnum Seagulls 38
Tries:
Alan Glyde 3, Matt Fisher 3, David Seage, Lance Cronk
Goals: Scott Dunshea 2, Alan Glyde
d
efeated Ipswich Jets 14
Tries:
Craig Green, Brad Bulow, Chris Lawler
Goals:
Chris Lawler
Venue:
Kougari Oval
Date:
Sun July 4
Chris' Comments: Wynnum's revival continued with a fantastic win over the disappointing Ipswich.  The Seagulls have won three and drawn one of their past five matches to turn a woeful season into a more respectable one.
