Sent Off: Troy Lindsay (Redcliffe), 52 min
East Coast have
registered a much needed win over second placed
Redcliffe. The Tigers ran away with the match
after Dolphins' prop Troy Lindsay had been sent off
for a high tackle in the 52nd minute. It had
been an enthralling contest up until then with both
teams trading tries at several times during the
match. The Dolphins also lost Adam Mogg to the
sin-bin just before the break and the Tigers managed
to score to make it 10-all at half-time. The
home side scored again early to grab the lead but Phil
Graham immediately replied for the Dolphins to make it
14-all. Lindsay was then sent off by referee
Mark Waugh after Martin Allen just crossed for a
Tigers' try. Despite Graham's excellent second
try, which drew the scores level again, it was all
downhill from there for Redcliffe and their defence
fell to pieces for the second time in two weeks.
East Coast ran in four more tries to finally end their
run of outs against the Dolphins and keep their
premiership chances alive.
