Redcliffe put in a strong second half performance to down a determined Logan outfit 26-13 to remain undefeated for the season.

The Dolphins trailed 7-0 (Brendan Lindsay slotted through a field goal for Logan right on half-time) at the break and the Scorpions were starting to look good when their winger Herman Lafaele crossed over in the 45th minute to put the home side up 13-0.

However, Redcliffe suddenly snapped out of their slumber and crossed for 4 tries in 13 minutes to give the visitors a 20-13 lead, with 15 minutes remaining on the clock. Logan tried valiantly to peg back the deficit but it was to no avail.

George Wilson put the icing on the cake for the Dolphins when he sprinted half the field to score his second try, just before full-time. Redcliffe eventually ran 13 point victors but it wasn't one of their most impressive performances. Their first half effort was disappointing with some handling errors and some poor kicking. Alas, as the quality team they are, the Dolphins managed to dig deep and come home strongly.

Logan would been disappointed at the way they dropped off in the second half. The Scorpions were looking pretty good when they extended their lead to 13-0 but were not able to hold out a fast finishing Redcliffe outfit.  Had they not let the Dolphins in for some soft tries and cut down their error rate then the result could have been in their favour.

In the lower grades, Redcliffe put in an improved effort in the A Grade to comfortably defeat Logan 30-6 while the Dolphins' Colts thumped the last placed Scorpions 48-4 in a spiteful match, which saw several punch-ups between the two sides.
