Comments:
Ipswich have kept their slim semi-finals hopes alive with a 40-22 win over Souths at Davies Park. The Jets led 18-8 at half-time but the Magpies managed to rattle off three tries in 7 minutes to up 22-18 at one stage of the second half. However, Ipswich's class eventually shone through and they ran out 18 point victors.

Comments: Redcliffe retain 2nd spot on the ladder after thrashing Wests 54-10 at Purtell Park. The Dolphins were never troubled at all by their opposition, whose defence has been terrible all season. Full back Adam Mogg continues his stunning form this season with 3 tries with Jason Webber (who now heads the top try scoring table on 15) and Troy Mitchell also grabbing two tries apiece in the 11-try romp.

Toowoomba Clydesdales 30

Comments: Half back Scott Thorburn has made a stunning return to the East Coast Tigers’ Bundy Gold Cup side with a superb performance in the Tigers’ easy 46-18 win over Logan at Langlands Park. The halfback scored 3 tries and kicked 7 goals in a man-of-the-match effort and largely helped his side break their recent disappointing form. The Scorpions only trailed 14-18 at the break but fell to pieces in the second half.
