Comments: Norths have finally broken
through for their first win of the season with a 10
point victory of Ipswich. The Devils overcame a
18-6 deficit at half-time to post the win. The
Jets would be disappointed at the way they fell apart
in the second half (like they did against Toowoomba a
couple of weeks ago) and will have to learn to play
the full 80 minutes against the top sides if they are
any chance of making the semi-finals.

start to the season with a draw against Burleigh on
the Gold Coast. Despite leading 18-6 at
half-time and eventually scoring 5 tries to Logan's 4,
the Bears only managed to get away with just a point
and remain winless for the season, while the Scorpions
are unbeaten after 3 rounds..

Comments: The Dolphins remain
unbeaten for the season after a good win over Central
in Rockhampton. After 2 early tries, including
Adam Mogg running riot and beating 4 attempted tackles
before scoring, the Dolphins led 10 - nil and looked
set to put on a cricket score. However, the
Comets came back and stifled the Dolphins for the rest
of the half eventually scoring to make it 10 - 6 at
the break. There was plenty of niggle in both
halves and a brawl erupted in the 2nd half. High
shots galore and also plenty of treatment in the
tackles had the local crowd fired up. Redcliffe
ran away with it in the 2nd half to win 30 - 16.
